Fenix delivered training on accident/incident investigation based around evidence-based conclusions and root cause analysis
Fenix supported this training with the production of a detailed SOP for conducting accident investigation in mine action
Olly Shepherd and David Hewitson supported the development and delivery of a comprehensive training package on key aspects of accident/incident investigation on behalf of GICHD. This initial pilot course took place over two weeks and was hosted by the Regional Centre for Humanitarian Demining Lebanon (RCHDL). The course aims to challenge the students to approach an accident investigation using the principles of root cause analysis as well as focusing on scene management and evidence collection.
The course provides a stimulating opportunity for students to interact with this subject in detail as well as refine several of the practical skills required for undertaking a detailed accident investigation in the mine action sector.
